Isaiah 60:1(Amplified Bible)
1ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and each of us has the opportunity of visiting the Manger. Each and every year God reminds us of His mercy and grace; He reminds us of the gift He has given us in Jesus Christ stepping into the flesh of mankind. Through the Holy Spirit, Christ took on all our frailties and vulnerabilities by being born fully human. Yet at the same time He was fully divine.
We could do nothing for ourselves, that could bridge the chasm we created with God through our sins. Only through the sacrifice of the One that was perfect could we hope for eternity with our Maker. Only through the birth of a baby in lowly and humble circumstances, could we hope to be made whole again in this life. Christmas allows us to pause and reflect on the wonder of it all.
As you step towards the Manger this Christmas you must ask yourself if you have prepared yourself to receive the gift of the Savior. Have you accepted God's gift of freedom from sin and salvation for your soul? If the answer is "Yes", then your visitation is one of joy, wonder and thanksgiving. If it is "No", then you must fully grasp what is celebrated for almost two millennia. Accept the gift of the baby in the Manger this Christmas, and make sure that you have discovered the true meaning for the season.
