1 Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring.
Matthew 6:34(New International Version)
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
In the busy-ness of today, we seldom really think about tomorrow. Most of us believe that we will have many of them, but we are not promised any more. We all are just one step off of a sidewalk, one set of stairs, one medical diagnosis, one crazy person, or one greasy cheese burger away from our last today.
God does not guarantee us another tomorrow; He is the One who will ultimately number our days. That is why Jesus made it a point to tell us not to be concerned about tomorrow. His message to us was that our concern was to make today the best that we could; to use whatever He has given us for His glory. He means for us to be Jesus Christ to everyone we encounter, showing them and telling them that God loves them. He expects us to wake up every morning, thank Him for a new day, and commit it to His service.
