21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Much is made these days of the benefits that you receive when you work for an employer. Benefits are very important when making a decision on a new job, or in the retention of employees for a Company. Whether or not there is something that takes care of our medical needs now, and our well-being later when we retire is usually pre-eminent in providing for our families. If you are a Company that has great benefits, you are almost assured that you can get and keep the best employees in the work force.
God offers us the best of benefits that we could ever imagine, because if we follow Him and accept His gift of salvation, we are guaranteed of being taken care of in this life and the next. In following Jesus Christ, we have the opportunity of demonstrating His love, mercy and grace to all those we encounter, and once we leave this planet, we are assured of a place with Him in Heaven. Our job is to make the decision to be the best "employee" there is, and to serve Him with our entire being.
