Luke 2:11-14(New King James Version)
11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “ Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
1 Timothy 3:16(New Living Translation)
16 Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith:
Christ[God] was revealed in a human body
and vindicated by the Spirit.
He was seen by angels
and announced to the nations.
He was believed in throughout the world
and taken to heaven in glory.
1 Timothy 3:16(King James Version)
16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Often disputed and often ignored, but there should be no doubt. As Paul so honestly and personally stated in his letter to Timothy not long historically after the event, the birth of Jesus Christ was a fact. The greater fact that Jesus Christ was God is also a fact. Two thousand years of history and the personal experience of billions makes it clear that it is true.
Any true seeker will find, and any true skeptic will always deny until true life change happens, God bore our humanity to give us the opportunity to know Him. This Christmas make sure that you know Him; He went through the trouble of taking your physical nature to get to know you. Merry Christmas!
