Keeping It Straight - October 24, 2013

Proverbs 3:5-6(Amplified Bible)
5Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

6In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6(New Living Translation)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 3:5-6(New King James Version)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

We really have a simple faith to follow. No, I didn't say it was easy, but I did say it is simple. God wants us to have a simple, childlike faith, that takes it for granted that as long as we lean on, trust, and have our confidence in Him, He will make sure it all works out for our good.

Everything we read about in the Bible is about trust and faith, that pure release of our own will and mental faculties and giving them over to God. It is a story about total surrender to Him, committing it all to Him before we do anything. He will promises to take care if the results.

No matter how you say it, that's simple, but again, it's not easy!
