Approaching a New Week - November 4, 2012

Psalm 150 (New International Version)
1 Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.

2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.

3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,

4 praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,

5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.

For many it has been a busy weekend, full of the busy-ness of life. There has been playing sports, and music lessons, and shopping, and kid's parties, and get-togethers, and attending church, and driving, and eating, and sleeping, and many more things than can be listed here. For everyone of us it has been a life filled with distractions that have taken our minds off of He who has provided it all.

As a perfect ending to this busy weekend and the start to the new week, take a few minutes to give God your praise and glory for the good things He has blessed you with during this past week. Remember Him as you plan out what you will do with these next seven days, and remember His purposes in your life as you move along the path He has established for you.

Oh, by the way, it is also the week of one of the most important elections in a generation. Be sure you vote, and that you vote for the candidates that hold-up biblical values and the things that are dear to God's heart, life and covenant marriage.
