Deuteronomy 7:9 (New International Reader's Version)
So I want you to realize that the Lord your God is God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his covenant for all time to come. He keeps it with those who love him and obey his commands. He shows them his love.
Hebrews 10:23 (New Century Version)
23 Let us hold firmly to the hope that we have confessed, because we can trust God to do what he promised.
The problem with troubles and distress is that they don't seem to go away as quickly as we would like. We pray and pray for His relief, yet our difficulties seem to remain. We wonder and cry out to saying, "How long must we go through this? When will you take this away?" Day after day we pray, yet we don't get an answer; at least not the aswer we want.So what should we do?
We need to keep right on praying and seeking and above all, we have to have faith in His promises. God has given us His promises, one being that He will work out everything for good if we love Him (Romans 8:28). He does want what is best for us, and if we will study His word, it will reveal just the promise you may need to resolve your issue; or you will at least find comfort as you go through your distress.
6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.1 Peter 5:6-7(NLT)
