Remembering Memorial Day - May 30, 2011

John 15:13 (New International Version)
13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

This day is set aside for Americans to remember and honor those who have given their lives in defense of our Nation. Many of you have loved ones that have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms and liberty. We who live in the United States need to properly take the time to remember, and acknowledge this day as a memorial to those who have died.

In addition, many have come back from the wars of our Nation to suffer the results of war in the form of mental depression and post traumatic stress. Many have taken their own lives, or their lives have been cut short due to that same service to the Nation. We owe all of those in the military and the families of the lost, our thanks and remembrance of their self-less sacrifice.
