Psalm 19:1-6 (New International Version, ©2011)
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
As we leave the month of April 2011, we need to pause and reflect on the glory of our God. There is much going on in our homes, our Nation and the world these days, and we might tend to forget that God is still in control. We need only to look at the sunset, that is different each and everyday, and the heavens that spread out from the East as night settles in, to know that we have an awesome and powerful God.
He knows all and He will work out everything to fulfill His purposes. We need to surrender everything we are to our Lord. He will work it out for our ultimate good. He is in control and worthy of all praise!
