Keeping an Account of Our Days - January 2, 2011
Psalm 90:12 (New International Version, ©2010)
12 Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Although we have just started a new year, I am sure you will agree that days and time pass by very quickly. When we were children, a year would seemingly take a long time, because if we were 10, 1 year would be a 1/10 of our existence. At 50, 1 year is a 1/50, and 1/50 is alot smaller than a 1/10, and in the case of time, seemingly faster.
After today, we only have 363 days left in this year to do the important things we are called to do before we pass from this earth. What has God placed on your heart to do this year? If you don't know yet, you need to take some time with your Bible, pen and paper. In mediation and prayer, first commit the new year to Him, and then seek His wisdom in what you are to do.
God has big plans for you this year! Don't waste a single day of them not knowing what they are!
