Acts 5:42 (New International Version)
42Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ(the Messiah).
Romans 10:14 (New International Reader's Version)
14 How can they call on him unless they believe in him? How can they believe in him unless they hear about him? How can they hear about him unless someone preaches to them?
Tomorrow is another Sunday, another opportunity we have to take time out of everything else we do and spend a little bit of time with our God. Sure it becomes difficult when you have a family, and sure it is tough to get everyone going, but I challenge you to not neglect taking the time to take your family to a your local church. Some may say, "well God and me are tight; we have church right here every Sunday!" Others may think, "I have worked so hard all week long, God won't mind if I just take the day off".
Problem is that when you place God on the back shelf of your entire week, and don't take a couple of hours out of the 168 hours each week, you will soon forget about Him all together. Soon life will quickly mount up with challanges, and before you know it you will find yourself in a place you don't want to be. Don't need Him you say? Well, He is always there, but if we harden our hearts to Him, we will no longer hear from Him. You don't want to find yourself at that point in life.
The most important thing for you is for you to know God, and for you to know Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Much happens when you take time out to remember and worship God, for He commanded us to "remember the Lord's day and keep it holy". And if you do have children, you owe it to them to learn the truth about the Creator of the world they live in. No amount of school and weekend activities will equip them for the difficulties of life. Only seeing good and faithful parents taking time to worship and praise their God, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ will do that.
